We want to see your family pictures!

In grade one social studies, students will be exploring the different communities that we are a part of. The first community that they will be looking at is their family community. To support this exploration students have been asked to provide a family photo and present some interesting facts about their family. Students are welcome to talk about those that they live with, as well as expand to the family that they see regularly. Here are some guiding questions to explore with your child as they prepare to speak to their peers about their family. How many people do you live with? Who do you live with? What are the names of the members of your family? What are some interesting facts about your family members? What are some typical activities that you like to do as a whole family? What are some activities that you like to do with your siblings?   To help your child prepare, please find some family photos, and either send them in their communication folder or email them to their classro
