Welcome! 2022-2023 School Year

Welcome! We are so excited to be starting the 2022-2023 year!   Today was the first day of Grade 1! We got to meet Mrs. Read and then we coloured in a back to school picture. We played a get to know the teacher game where we guessed answers of questions about our teacher. Then, we played "true or false" to get to know each other better! We did a tour of the inside and outside of the school! For art we drew sketches of ourselves. We read a few books today! One book was The Sharing Circle and then we had our own sharing circle and talked about what was our favourite part of the day was. At the end of the day we did centers, filled out our blog and Mrs. Read read us "Our Class is a Family"!  Ask me:  What was your favourite part of the day? What did you learn about Mrs. Read? What art did you do? Did you go outside today?
