Hi parents, Please continue to refer to Mr. Kurtz's blog for updates and reminders. We have decided to continue to do a shared blog for the remainder of the year and will be posting updates here: https://mrkurtznls. blog spot.com/ Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Thanks! Mrs. Read
Welcome! We are so excited to be starting the 2022-2023 year! This year, our whole school will continue to use Blogger to make our daily agenda posts. To make it easier for you, you can add the blog right on to the home screen of your phone or iPad by following the directions on the “Adding Blogger to Home Screen” document Mrs. Brinson sent out on August 26 in her first Northern Lights News email. We hope this makes the communication between home and school easier and opens up great conversations between you and your child. The CBE and Mrs. Brinson will be communicating information to you through School Messenger. To make sure you receive these email messages, please SUBSCRIBE using the email address that the school has on file. (If you change your email address, you must inform the school and then re-subscribe or the system won’t work.)

We worked on phonemic awareness and listening for sounds in a word. We had our first whole school fire drill and identified some "glows and grows" (things we did well and things we are going to keep practicing). We had a lesson to learn about visually impaired students to help us learn about a classmate in our partner class. In gym we played with scoops and hoola hoops. For health we continued learning how to be a good friend and worked on what we could say if we want to share or take turns. In math we practiced counting. We ended the day with centers, closing circle and an intro into the learning commons! Starting next week, our class will have library every Wednesday! We are starting
