Welcome! 2022-2023 School Year

Welcome! We are so excited to be starting the 2022-2023 year! This year, our whole school will continue to use Blogger to make our daily agenda posts.  To make it easier for you, you can add the blog right on to the home screen of your phone or iPad by following the directions on the “Adding Blogger to Home Screen” document Mrs. Brinson sent out on August 26 in her first Northern Lights News email. We hope this makes the communication between home and school easier and opens up great conversations between you and your child.  The CBE and Mrs. Brinson will be communicating information to you through School Messenger. To make sure you receive these email messages, please SUBSCRIBE using the email address that the school has on file.   Today was the first day of Grade 1! We got to meet Mrs. Read and then we coloured in a back to school picture. We played a get to know the teacher game where we guessed answers of questions about our teacher. Then, we played "true or false" to get to know each other better! We did a tour of the inside and outside of the school! For art we drew sketches of ourselves. We read a few books today! One book was The Sharing Circle and then we had our own sharing circle and talked about what was our favourite part of the day was. At the end of the day we did centers, filled out our blog and Mrs. Read read us "Our Class is a Family"!  Ask me:  What was your favourite part of the day? What did you learn about Mrs. Read? What art did you do? Did you go outside today?
